International Insurance

Any company that does business outside the continental United States, its territories, and Canada has an international liability exposure that is commonly excluded under domestic casualty insurance policy forms.  Foreign exposure can be as simple and insignificant as a salesperson traveling to Japan for a few days, or as widespread as a company having millions in product sales all over the world.  Domestic insurance policies are clear about the territory for which they will provide coverage, and if foreign insurance is in fact excluded, you are leaving your company exposed if you conduct business outside the United States.  International insurance coverage can be placed on line by line coverage basis, or on a package basis that includes such coverage as international workers compensation insurance, international general liability insurance, international auto liability insurance, as well as various forms of property insurance.

Thomas Gregory Associates has placed foreign insurance programs for hundreds of clients and understands the risks posed by international business activities.  Many times, we have placed this coverage for clients that never realized that their foreign risk exposures were not covered by their current insurance program.
